Today we received our final travel packet. This is very exciting as it has tons of helpful information...most important of which is our detailed travel itinerary! Here is a brief idea of what our time will be like in China:
Thursday 6/21 - Depart for China
Friday 6/22 - Arrive in Hong Kong
Saturday 6/23 - Tour Hong Kong
Sunday 6/24 - Leave Hong Kong for Nanchang in Jiangxi Province
Sunday evening...GET ISABEL!!!
Monday 6/25 through Friday 6/29 - Paperwork in Nanchang, city tours, etc.
Saturday 6/30 - Travel from Nanchang to Guangzhou
Sunday 7/1 - Rest, shop, tour day ... ISABEL'S FIRST BIRTHDAY!
Monday 7/2 - Isabel's visa physical, visa photo, paperwork
Tuesday 7/3 - More paperwork
Wednesday 7/4 - 4th of July!! Day off to celebrate, tour, shop, etc.
Thursday 7/5 - US Consulate appointment
Friday 7/6 - Back to the Consulate to finalize paperwork
Saturday 7/7 - Depart Guangzhou for Hong Kong, then depart Hong Kong for home!
We can't believe that Isabel will be placed in our arms within just a couple days of arriving in China and not only that....but we are just a little over a week away from leaving!
As many of you who are part of our daily life know...Jeff and I have been very busy these past weeks. This is an amazing time in our lives but it also is a very busy time as well. We are trying to get our home ready for Isabel, paperwork finished, our jobs wrapped up so we can be away for a few months, etc. We are truly sorry for the emails that aren't getting answered right away and the amount of time that is passing between calls to our friends. Please know how important each and every one of you are to us and without your support we could not have made it through this journey.
Our blog started as a way to allow our friends and family to follow our journey to adopt our daughter from China. Isabel is now home with us and we love that we are a family of three. In fact, we have been so busy having fun with Isabel that we have not kept our blog up to date...but it is time to dust off the keyboard, as we invite you to follow us on our second journey to China. Soon we will become three and a highchair!

How wonderful, after all this time, to finally know the day you will get to wrap your arms around your daughter! And, I suspect you won’t let go for quite some time!
I noticed you will meet Isabel one week before her first birthday. We met Nate one week before his first birthday. :)
